Just listed another pair of earring on Etsy , then I am going to being making jewelry all day.  The Driftless Market in Platteville sold a lot of my stuff in December and needs to be restocked!  I am so happy as January and February are usually very very slow sales wise.   I will post a picture of what is made before I take it up.  Have a great day.

As I come down from my caffeine and sugar high and take inventory of what I was able to make for my last two shows of the year, I want to say thank you so much for all of the people/friends that have contacted me through facebook and by e-mail. Yes I promise that I will be putting items up for sale as soon as I recoup. :) Let me know what you want to see the earring, bracelets or necklaces. I feel so loved ♥

After a very quick visit to Chicago, we did visit the zoo and get to Whole Foods and the Italian store so it was a successful visit. Another great thing that happened was my visit to Team Blonde they are located in Forest Park at 7442 W. Madison Ave. They are carrying a line of my one of a kind jewelry!! If you are looking for a gift or a way to just treat yourself, they also have a spa, check them out. Heidi and Jayne are so friendly, you will have a fantastic time.

Yep I got up and went to the market :) The radar didn't show and rain but guess what it did. I even had cute shoes on. The rain did stop and it got super humid, but at least everything dried up. The next market at the Territories is July 4th weekend, usually one of the biggest days for me here. I just hope we are done with the rain by then. I am off to Galena Beads to sell some beads. I am sure I will find something great to design with. I am so happy than my new items are selling but jewelry is still my main seller. It will be a designing week to replace the things that sold. My bead making session was a success, I have made beads twice now this month! These are a few of the things I am going to be creating with. I make necklaces with the keys, they are a big hit at the farmers markets. I will post some pictures of the finished pieces later today. The beads are made right on the keys, people are always asking me how I get the beads on the them. Willow and I are headed to a magic show this morning and then I need to finish up some items for the market tomorrow. Have a great day

We have a storm move through our area last night and with it came much cooler temps. It is a wonderful 66 degrees with a nice breeze today. I have been making leather bracelets this week and finally finished them up. These are a great seller at the markets! I am headed to the sewing room for the rest of the afternoon. Happy creating everyone.

It was a good first day, saw a lot of old friends and meet some new great people. My spot is a little bit up the street now, but I an nearer to the main area so I hope there is more traffic. A lot of the produce vendors didn't come as they didn't have anything ready yet :( it has been so cold here and nothing is growing like it should. I made some different thing and realize that I probably won't be bring baked goods. Stick to what you know, there is such a saturation of baked goods I don't need to compete with then when they have a following already. I sold a gourd bird house and some silverware garden stakes along with my jewelry. Getting ready for the farmers market this weekend. I am trying to figure out how I had 6 unfinished projects on my bead table :( I am a bit stress that I won't have enough, I think anyone who has done shows knows that feeling. It also doesn't matter what you hurry and try to finish up at the last minute because "those" things never sell lol. Never the less here I sit making more product. I don't think I have enough earrings, then do I make bracelets to go with the earrings. How about necklaces, it is Mother's day weekend. Should I make more matching things ???? Does it matter at this point, no !!! Mostly because there is a 50% chance of rain on Saturday. I hope they are wrong. It is raining here on the farm today but spring is in the air, I just hope it gets here by Saturday Morning.

I have been so busy trying to get all of my product ready for this weekend. This Saturday is the first day of the Dubuque Farmers Market , I am on the same street a few stalls away from where I was last year. All of my jewelry and my other stuff still needs to be priced and my office box needs to be cleaned out and restocked. So tell me why this is the week I feel the need to clean out my front closet. WHY?? In addition to everything I had last year I am adding house hold items and sweets. I will have gluten free stuff when I have time to bake. Here is a picture from last years booth. This is a great bracelet design for both girls and guys, looks wonderful with summer clothes too. My friends Jess and Trish found this link from the Rings and Things blog. When we went to the Madison bead show we picked up what we needed to make these. The tutorial calls for 6mm beads but you can change the size, just remember that larger beads are going to be really heavy. I made some single wraped ones, I love the red one so much I may keep it for myself :P. Instead of the leather I used hemp and it worked great too. For the larger beaded ones I used a heavier wax cotton. Give this a try and send me pictures of what you did, I can't wait to see everyones bracelets.
