Aprons on Etsy

Image
The weather is changing here in the Midwest. I am really a homebody and the cold makes it easier to stay inside guilt free lol. I have been sewing and knitting new items that will be listed in my Etsy store very soon. Yesterday I spend most of the day picture taking and listing things. Check out the store :) My favorite things are the aprons! Love them. I will be working on some others today so look for them later this week.

Etsy

We decided last weekend to make that our last farmers market of the season. I still have a couple of weeks until my first show November 6 th . So I thought this would be a wonderful time to list items in my Etsy store. I have been getting e-mails from people asking me to put some things in the store so they could start their holiday shopping. Follow the link to the right and it will take you to my shop. Hope you find something you love. I will be adding items up until my first show, after that I will add items when time allows. Have a great day!

Up Coming Shows

I am finishing up a couple of custom orders and then I won't be taking any more until after the 1st of the year. I am headed into my busy show season and must concentrate on making things for them. I also hope to list some items in my Etsy store but I am sure if I can keep two inventories stocked. This list is dates and times, a more complete list will be posted as the time nears. Making a hat display from candle sticks

Image
Since I have been doing shows again I need to display my work. Those of you who do shows know how expensive displays can be. Mass produced ones are usually not very interesting either. I have been on a quest to either get displays at garage sales or make them. This project incorporates both of those things :P I found these 15" candle sticks at a garage sale for $3. Everything else I had around the house.

Take a piece of batting for quilting and double it for thickness. This will give you a good working surface. Duck tape in place

Take a 6" x 12" piece of batting and roll it into a loose ball. Take another 12 x 12 piece of batting and cover the ball of batting you have placed on top of the candle stick. Duck tape in place

Take a large square of fabric to cover your batting ball. I cut my square fairly large 12 x 12. You will also need some heavy yarn about 12 inches worth

Tie yarn around the bottom of the "ball and trim fabric. Don't trim to high up or your batting will show
