I am grateful ....

I have not had a grateful post in some time, so I thought today would be a good time for one. These are five of the things I am grateful for right now. I would love to see your five things, please post them in the comments I am grateful for my health, because if you have your health you really do have everything I am grateful for my family, they are the reason I do what I do everyday I am grateful for all of the things Brian does for us, his full time job to mowing the lawn I am grateful for our little piece of heaven (our property) it's a lot of work but it's a dream come true I am grateful to be able to do what I love and make a living

Wear nothing new, and life lessons

Wearing nothing new on TED talk I found this link on one of the blogs I read , While Tangerine Dreams , I seriously can not wait to read her posts. In my mind Kathy and I are sisters, even though she has no clue who I am lol. In this post she talks about not buying anything new, now this is something close to my heart. I love to thrift store, recycling and refashioning bring me great joy. Check out both links be sure to listen to the life lessons Jessie Arrington has and give second hand a try. I am making beads today, I know twice in one month lol. Have a great day everyone!

Simple Things

Image
One of our main goal for moving to the country was to simplify our life. To a lot of people it probably doesn't seem like we have made our life more "simply" with the animals and the garden. Though we spend a lot of time and energy doing those kind of activities we feel they are more meaningful to us and our quality of life. One of my favorite things to do when the weather is good is hang my laundry out to dry. I try to add this to my morning ritual and even think of it as exercise :D Hanging your clothes not only extended the life of your garments it save energy. Windy days are wonderful here on the farm, looking over and seeing the windmill turn and watching my laundry blow in the wind is very satisfying.

Happy Mothers Day

Image
Hope all of you mothers and caregivers are doing something nice for yourselves today. I am taking it easy and enjoying the beautiful day here on the farm. Maybe I will do some sewing for us today, or not lol. I would like to work a bit in the green house too, hoping to have the garden planted soon. It is suppose to rain on and off with very warm temps next week. I will have time with that forecast to get inside stuff done. Here is a nice link to the history of Mothers Day

Favorite things right now :P

I have found some really YUMMY things and I must share them with you. Being Gluten free puts a bit of a damper on the foods I can eat so when I find something that is good and gluten free it's a good day :D. Here are my newest finds, Let start out with the Chocolate. Ghirardelli Squares and Lindt Lindor Truffles I am never going back to cheap chocolate again. I also love Boursin with Wild Rice Works sea salt and black sesame I think this may be my new go to meal.

Life as we plan it

Today marks the second year that we have Willow. Two years ago I got on a plane and flew to O'hara with a 3 week old infant. Then I drove the 3+ hours to the farm. In the beginning we didn't think we would be raising her. We thought we where helping my daughter get her life together. Well Erin did not get her life together and Willow is her to stay. I had a great plan for my life and the farm when we moved here. Some things have come to be and other may still. My prioritys have changed a bit, Willow being my main concern. I wouldn't change a thing. Plans are good, but remember to enjoy what the universe sends you. It could be better than anything you ever imagined.
