I am still here :)

Sorry about the post of doom and running off like that. It's not all that bad, I have adjusted to the new program. To tell the truth I am kinda of looking forward to having a bit of free/alone time :P. We have been enjoying the last long days of summer, went to the county fair and saw my first ever demolition derby. Brian is thinking about getting a car and signing up next year. Willow was 5 on the fifteenth and we had a "neighborhood" party. School shopping and harvesting veggie from our garden have also been taking up alot of our time. I am still doing the markets on the weekends, so finding time to create has been high on the list of todos. I hope all of you are having a great August, we are :) As for my crafty $$$ for August I spent it on great home grown veggies at the markets. I have found some new favorites.

Back to regular programing

It has been a very busy couple of weeks, all of the driving to the city and my mom's visit I feel like I have fallen behind. The garden is in real need of weeding and we have not had much rain lately, unlike June lol so watering is on the list. It also seems like after the 4th of July we have to start thinking about getting ready for winter. That probably seems strange to most of you, but when you heat your home with wood you have to have alot cut and ready. So even though it's still very hot here we are thinking of the cold months of winter. This weekend is going to be beautiful for the market. Have a great day !

Sunday Market

Yep I got up and went to the market :) The radar didn't show and rain but guess what it did. I even had cute shoes on. The rain did stop and it got super humid, but at least everything dried up. The next market at the Territories is July 4th weekend, usually one of the biggest days for me here. I just hope we are done with the rain by then. I am off to Galena Beads to sell some beads. I am sure I will find something great to design with. I am so happy than my new items are selling but jewelry is still my main seller. It will be a designing week to replace the things that sold. Have a great day.

They said 60% chance of rain up until I had set up, then it dropped to 0% Really? Market had a slow start but ended really well. My new gourds and a new wind chime

Saturday at the market and some new things I am making

The weather man was sure we where not going to have any rain on Saturday,, opps wrong again lol. It drizzled for a good part of the morning. Despite that a lot of people came out to the market! I saw so many past customers that stop to buy my new items, along with wonderful new customers I hope to see again. Here are my new gourds, I am loving these and they are a big seller so far This is not a great picture but I hope you can get the idea, silverware wind chimes. I wasn't able to get a picture of the really big one I sold. It was one of the first things I sold in the morning I didn't realize I had not taken a picture until it was too late :( I have to get back in to the habit of taking pictures of everything I make. A vendor/friend and I went for Indian food after the market,, to be honest I didn't even know there was an Indian restaurant in Dubuque. Very yummy! hit the thrift store to see if I could get anything for wind chimes. Found some wooden rolling pins ...

What are your plans for today?

This is how I am starting my morning, doesn't that just look fantastic! Coffee and a gluten free muffin YUMMY. Their is a vendor at the farmers markets that sells gluten free muffins, I am so happy. They have lots of great produce and baked goods. Trusted Earth Farm has a stand at the Dubuque farmers market on Saturday and at the Territories farmers market every other Sunday. Both markets have a wonderful mix of homegrown and handmade products. If the weather is good I am also going to give the farmers market at the Dubuque fair grounds a try on Wednesday. My plans for today are working on silverware windchimes and gourds. I need to get some laundry and dishes done sometime today also. Have a great day and create something wonderful!

When will this end?

The rain that is, I did the Territories Farmers Market this morning, but right after this picture was taken a bad storm was headed our way. So we all packed up and left early. I did make some sales today, with garden stakes being the big seller today also. Need to restock more for next week, I guess everyone is in garden mode. The only bad thing is all my tags got damp and need to be replaced, but nothing got damage permanently. They say the weather is suppose to good starting tomorrow, we can only hope. Have a great holiday weekend.
