I love winter because I don't have to deal with it anymore since I live in Tucson, yet I have beautiful memories from my time living in Ohio.

Cooler temperatures. I should have been born somewhere with a colder climate than southern California.

I like the look of fresh, glistening snow!.....Until about the middle of February, then I want to see grass again- even if it is dead!

My favorite thing about winter is...

SNOW DAYS from school!
This year, my favorite thing about winter is that we're living in California again and I don't have to shovel snow! I'm enjoying they nice cool (but not too cold!) days.

What Don't I love about Winter would be easier to answer. I love winter mornings that are warm with giant lake affect snow flakes falling from the sky. The large ones that land on your mittens and stay just long enough for you to see how uniquely beautiful each one is. I love the crispness of the morning air and the silence that is almost a music in and of itself. I love how the snow transforms the world , like some mystical butterfly emerging from an other worldly cocoon. Like I said, it would be easier for me to say what I didn't like.

I can think of plenty of thinks I don't like about winter...lol but my favorite thing is to sit and watch the snowflakes falling gently to the ground while curled up by the window with a cup of hot cocoa. So relaxing, and so beautiful to watch.

My favorite thing about winter is the quiet. Spring is abuzz with bees and birds. Summer is full of the cacophony of poolside parties, barbecues and beach days. And in fall, heck, you can't even take a step without the crunch of dried leaves- nevermind the fact that the bold colors are practically screaming.

Winter is a nice, peaceful, quiet time to reflect. The cold encourages it, the short days practically demand it, and the stillness of nature herself sets a fabulous example.

I love winter because I have a heat allergy. During the summer I am stuck indoors for safety reasons. But during the winter I get to be out and about, go walking all over town and be more active. It's great to see the snow and it's like a close friend to me. When there is snow I know I am safe to live outdoors again.

Oh, love-hate-love-hate, I love the first snow and the decorations and romanticism of Winter around Christmas, or the icy brilliant beauty of a sunny freezing dawn after a snow. Then there's the mushy grey danger commute yuk part of Winter......let's just focus on the good part!

Having just moved to Texas from Freeport, Illinois I am enjoying our 1st winter away from SNOW. The days are longer, warmer and brighter and I remind my friends although we miss them we love our new journey south.
I used to love winter because it meant lots of downhill skiing, ending the season with a fantastic trip to Copper Mountain, CO, one of my favorite places ever. Now I think winter is aka trip to Maui :)
